ABOUT
Caitlin is a New York based lighting designer with experience in theater, musical theater, opera, dance, live events, installation and architectural projects. Her work has been seen at REDCAT, Yale Repertory Theatre, Theater Row, Soho Rep, Ars Nova, The New Ohio, Wild Project, Theater Squared, Cape Fear Regional Theatre, and Totem Pole Playhouse among several other theaters across the United States, and on tour in the US and Scandinavia with Oslo based Wakka Wakka Productions, and Cirkus Xanti.
Caitlin has worked as an assistant and associate designer to Jennifer Tipton, Christopher Akerlind, and Steven Strawbridge among other notable designers at institutions including The Public, The Signature Theatre, The Vineyard Theatre, and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Caitlin Also had the pleasure of serving as Associate Lighting Designer to Jennifer Tipton for To Kill A Mockingbird on Broadway (Tony Nominated).
She is the recipient of the 2016 Hemsley Mentorship Grant- allowing her to work under Traci Klainer of LUCE Lighting Design, where she worked on architectural lighting projects ranging from themed entertainment to The National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.
Caitlin holds an MFA in Design from the Yale School of Drama, and a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is a proud member of United Scenic Artists, local 829.
